I had the exact same fit problems you had, so I'm feeling a tiny bit better that I'm not alone in this. I still wear my dress with a cardigan buttoned at the waist and get lots of compliments. Some day I'll rip the bodice apart and try to adjust the fit but for now I'm feeling kinda defeated. Personally I just don't like stripes with darts or pleats ever. I did have a bit of trouble with matching the bodice front to the lining but i just kind of folded and ironed another dart and it looked fine. And the tie in back was so heavy it kind of pulled down the back so I had to add a hook and eye. I love mine though!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6091733382896574533.post-26700371669605409812011-04-01T12:46:15.567-05:002011-04-01T12:46:15.567-05:00The fabric is beautiful, what a shame. Not like Cynthia Rowley. Usally quite logical construction. Maybe she was having a "meh" day!<br />PxAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10017802422891332588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6091733382896574533.post-80995515343717962642011-03-30T12:57:25.372-05:002011-03-30T12:57:25.372-05:00emily.marie, I'm glad I'm not the only one...emily.marie, I'm glad I'm not the only one who had that problem. thanks for the tips!dixiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17270266160105135365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6091733382896574533.post-45985275670833505832011-03-29T17:36:44.470-05:002011-03-29T17:36:44.470-05:00I made this same dress and had a similar problem w...I made this same dress and had a similar problem with the right boob area. I had to mess with it quite a bit- a light pressing & steaming, spreading all the outer fabric around the bodice evenly did the trick for me. I think that gathering the center front might help it too. Don't give up yet! :)emily.mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07770615424918781021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6091733382896574533.post-13699349718540044512011-03-29T10:49:54.240-05:002011-03-29T10:49:54.240-05:00montanachic, that's a good idea!
